It isn’t true

The latest inaccurate e-mail making the rounds says the UK has banned teaching about the Holocaust in schools to avoid offending Muslims.

Not so: That topic is a mandatory part of the curriculum in England, and it isn’t banned in the other parts of the United Kingdom. All that happened was that one particular school decided not to cover the topic in one specific course for fear of anti-Semitism among Muslim students—which was a bad call on their part, of course, but the e-mail is wildly distorting the facts.
