Betty Kenyon: Does anyone know a secret for making committee members actually show up at meetings (this is a recurrent problem for city boards)?
•Is June White Decker Park ready for use? Kisela: It’s very close. He says the city is flooded with calls about it from people who want to use it.
•The city needs to do a better job putting up the flag-explanation signs up where beachgoers will see them. She said one along Restaurant Row is up by the street, and when beachgoers see the red flags, there’s nothing handy to explain them.
•”Is there any way to make the meetings shorter?”
Barker: “We could cut out comments from the audience.”
