I’m tired of seeing this phrase applied to female singers. It’s sexist, insulting and usually they’ve done nothing “tarty” beyond show a lot of cleavage on stage. And it’s never applied to even the sleaziest male singers, no matter how much skin they may show or how er, tarty, their behavior may be.
